Description
Inspired by the collection of Grotesques filling the Monk’s Parlour in the crypt area of the Sir John Soane Museum. It was with mixed feelings that Soane watched a rising public fashion for the Gothic style. He designed this playfully sombre space, the Monk’s Parlour to satirise this style.
This is the Yorkshire Rose, emblem of Yorkshire. This is a very accurate and perfectly carved piece of work from an expert craftsman. A must have piece for all proud persons with Yorkshire roots and connections. Designed to hang and displayed from a wall, this makes a magnificent focal point.
